While scientific studies indicate high accuracy levels for polygraph examinations a valid examination will require a well-qualified examiner. International research has indicated that the better qualified and experienced the examiner the more accurate the results. All polygraph examiners that are utilized by SAPIS met the international standard for examiners.

All the polygraph examiners employed by SAPIS have been trained by accredited institutes in the USA and are either members of the American Polygraph Association (APA), or the South African Polygraph Federation (SAPFED). One of the aspects that distinguish polygraph examiners at SAPIS form their counterparts in the industry, is their experience and qualifications beyond the scope of polygraph this has found to be invaluable to clients during internal, civil and criminal investigations.
